The different snakes gathered at the center of their pit so they had to be sedated to allow for Kevin to go down and discover what they were hiding. Kevin called for backup in order to facilitate this. He also needed help to ensure the process was smooth enough for him to not get harmed in any way. He also wanted to ensure that the animals wouldn't get harmed either.
