For a few months, Kevin and his colleagues had been doing their level best to find the snake pits in the forest. They wanted to make the Amazon safer for everyone but this was a challenging task for them. Snake pits occur naturally and it's never easy to discover them. Snakes will also leave some pits to create new ones, so they can't be contained in one place.
