Kevin's boss gave him the task of locating and clearing out the snake pits inside the Amazon rainforest since it was something he had done before. The pit that Kevin found was not the usual one. The snakes in the pit became aggressive when he attempted to enter. He felt it was their natural instinct to protect something underneath.
