Justin Gaston, Miley's serious lover prior to the Liam years, was Justin Gaston. They began dating at the age of 16 when Miley was just 16 years old and Gaston hosted the singing contest Nashville Star that her father was also host. They dated for a little one year prior to when she got to know Liam Hemsworth, with whom she made the movie "The The Last Song". Miley's reunion with Nick was the reason for tension. Justin stated, "She did not cheat however, Nick was trying to get her back constantly."
